History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Rael took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up ceremonial dagger and armor he uses now. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
