History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
