History: Qualen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Qualen alone in the world. History: Aura was born the youngest of three triplets. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Herleva was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Herleva's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Banker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
