History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ernest was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: He was born in the south. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Courier. He became a Courier soon after.

Personality: He is a Cartwright first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Navigator father left him crippled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
