Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Through the years after Emerald was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Emerald's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born into a rich family. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.
