Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Tricking was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Description: This tall, slender man is dressed in a clean black cloak covering his clean studded leather. His chestnut hair is braided into rings. His fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.
Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.
History: Born to a Dyer, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Banker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Dyer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact

Description: Dark and lean, he is a relatively plain man. He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty red coat over it. He has shaved his head bald. His gray eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Hobart embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.
History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hobart grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hobart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. After coming to the age of reason, Emeny took it upon herself to study the necromantic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying sister.
Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and to get a good night's sleep

History: Born in the east to a Gardener, Philomena learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Philomena alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now owns her own business.
