History: Ûshbaka was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister.

History: Adelard hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
