However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Nelkin lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Jocelyn was born on a far eastern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Tailor. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Tailor for the past few years.

History: Muggrish was born with his father's beautiful face. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). After a long history of fighting, Muggrish and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Spice Merchant. When triggered she is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Thiala grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Thiala. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
