History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Marastyr alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Architect. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Lance alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Tod was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a Weaver soon after.
