History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sailor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Melissa and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the east to a Bookbinder, Marastyr learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Bookbinder and found it very stressful. She struck the Bookbinder job and began her own company from there.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She now mingles about in high society.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Halfling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
