Description: An older man who wears suspenders and yellow workpants. His shirt is violet, and he wears a heavy yellow leather apron most of the time, he is not a threatening figure. He has wavy chestnut hair. His brown eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.
Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.
History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and many gnolls want him driven away

Description: This younger middle-aged woman wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally she sports a brown coat, and a wedding ring on her left hand. Her brown hair is singed and shortened. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.
Personality: She loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from her. She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Human in existence. A true patriot, Ida would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. When Ida reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ida fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: Andram hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. He receives visions of the future at random moments
History: Andram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Gimurt hails from a village terrorized by illithids. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. The war was a terrible time for him, and Astar does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When Astar reached his early adolescence his Tiefling father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
