History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He worked as a nervous Soapmaker and found it very stressful. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
