Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Kadana was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Kadana alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Elama was born in the east. At a young age she loved to build and create. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sellsword hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she is greedy

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and someone believes him a fraud
