Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Katherine lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A freak accident while working with her Performer mother left her crippled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Gilkass's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. Gilkass enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk he knows how to make people feel guilty. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: His psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.
