History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature greatsword.

He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. His silver hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His blue eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.

Personality: Qualen is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. Qualen is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Qualen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: Gifted from a young age, Lia studied abroad. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
