History: The child of a Navigator, who enjoyed hunting, River was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
