History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. After a long history of fighting, Caeldrim and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom

Personality: She runs her personal life as if detached from it. She organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits she will get from it. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting giants, the young Shava began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the north; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Ortegar was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Priest. Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Jade lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
