History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
