History: Varis hails from a village terrorized by illithids. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Varis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Panana alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Panana was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. He found a children's book about a Tiefling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Râsh was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Râsh was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Dilettante. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Beggar work with an outfit from a few towns over. Beggar work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has worked as a Beggar like her mother before her.

Motivation: To be a Baker again; and sabotage a competitor
