History: She was born into a rich family. She worked as a nervous Brewer and found it very stressful. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Brewer for the past few years.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and her religion dominates her actions

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He now mingles about in high society.
