After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
