Description: A woman of a pale complexion, she wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. She keeps her long black hair kept up in a rat tail. Her eyes are brown and beady.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Helja was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: He is mildly Gnome supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Arumawann was born the youngest of three triplets. After coming to the age of reason, Arumawann took it upon himself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: A moderately attractive woman, she wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized blue coat. She wears her red hair up. Her brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jelenneth grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Half-Orc companion (her 'brother'). Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Jelenneth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and she desires power and/or immortality

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he is generally well dressed albeit a few years behind the times. He wears a broad hat to hide his balding. His eyes are black.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Crown-heir but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Vassago was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. His addictions have taken their toll on his wallet, and he has found himself with a great deal of debt owed.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Az-Adar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When Az-Adar reached his early adolescence his Half-Orc mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: To be a Cartwright again.

Description: A woman with a warm, jovial air about her, she is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright black and grey, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Her hair is red and very short. Her black eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. Energy wise she seems alert and responsive.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she has money and likes to spend it

Voice: Sensual and smooth

Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears blue painted combat armor at almost all times. His red hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He hates orcs. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away.

Description: The light-skinned woman stands 5'3" and tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her silver hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a Stetson hat. She is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: Egelina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. One day when Egelina was young, her mother was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly her mother dropped to the ground dead. Her mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Egelina was heart-stricken from the event, and her father started working long hours to provde for them. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
