Description: This late middle aged woman wears tan robes with leather pauldrons. Though occasionally she wears more armor. She prefers to carry a sword, but if one is not available she will default to her nunchaku and is in decent physical shape. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. Her hazel eyes are passionate and lively.
Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She is afraid of women and trembles around them
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Carlin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Carlin was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Carlin decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.
History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. Some 7 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Mella never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: Cask was born with his mother's beautiful face. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Markosian speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.
History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Markosian never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Through the years after Cloak was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Cloak's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city.
