Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gildmak embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Gildmak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Leshanna alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.
