History: He comes from a rich southern family. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
