His father taught him the rudiments of the Fisher arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Avelina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
