History: She got into the Miner business at a young age. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with singing. She constantly tries to fill her life with singing. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she has money and likes to spend it

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Farmer and occasionally as a mercenary.
