History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has never given up on his music dream.
