History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rurik grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
