History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Born to a Cartwright, her father struggled to pay the bills. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
