History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Laborer. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Laborer for the past few years.

Motivation: Halfling compassion; and doesn't want to be a laborer and was forced into it by his family

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense.
