He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. After a long history of fighting, Theriatis and his spouse have recently divorced.

She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
