History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Delebean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Tanner. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jade grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jade. Being a Layabout kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born to a Carter, her father struggled to pay the bills. A freak accident while working with her Carter father left her crippled. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Serpent never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
