History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Matilda was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Matilda alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Herbalist arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. A true patriot, Engong would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Engong was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
