History: Born to a Server, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At some point he was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

Personality: He loves justice and goodness and right action. Anyone who does not fulfill this criteria perfectly will no doubt get a lecture from him. He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Halfling in existence. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Purban lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Elegant was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it
