History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. After a long history of fighting, Cairn and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: Shava was born in the east. At a young age she loved to build and create. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Verna grew up listening to her father's many stories. Through the years after Verna was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Verna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
