History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Neega liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She was born in a small island village. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Description: This light-skinned female wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. She is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. Her blonde hair has been sun bleached extensively. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.
Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. The war was a terrible time for her, and Emeny does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Emeny grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
Motivation: She's looking for her big break.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.
History: He was raised in a forest tribe. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and wishes to resurrect an old love

History: Hethress lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what he was had he not made sure his armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit he is dressed in earthy colors with a black and red handkerchief worn on his left side. His white crest has been sun bleached extensively. His ears are large.
Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Description: He prefers to wear black clothing when he does not wear armor. His attire stands in sharp contrast to his whip, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a card on it. His top hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep violet.
Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. He also hits on women, regardless of circumstances.
History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ohr was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
