History: Ea was born the youngest of three triplets. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Purson lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Purson abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gifted student he started as a Carter, but he got bored and became a Shepherd. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
