History: He was born in the north. Through the years after Bertram was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

History: Born to a Map Maker, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sellsword work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sellsword work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Sellsword for hire.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Through the years after Merla was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Merla's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

History: Foxilon hails from a village terrorized by drow. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
