History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Thervan hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his writing career. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born in the east. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Bookbinder. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Windy was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Orcs in the east were limited. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and he has passion for adventuring and risk

History: Born in the west to a Interpreter, Skirt learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Interpreter. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Megren took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
