History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A freak accident while working with his Scribe father left him crippled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Engraver. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Engraver for hire.

History: Margery lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A freak accident while working with her Butcher father left her crippled. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Butcher. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his arcane talents. He has worked as a Bookbinder like his father before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Bookbinder responsibilities is difficult.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
