His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Veit hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Veit was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. A gifted student he started as a Ploughman, but he got bored and became a Roofer. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Rolen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age he wooed the heart of his future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Rolen never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Ûggû speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Gardener arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Painter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Gardener, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Gardener and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to share knowledge with the world
