History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Shane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Paela embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she's in love

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and seeks redemption

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He uses divination through singing.

History: He got into the Engraver business at a young age. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Engraver work with an outfit from a few towns over. Engraver work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. Fargrim was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Fargrim decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and he's looking for his big break

Sporting a black mohawk this woman's hair draws a lot of attention. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Revenge; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Tanner. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He became a Tanner soon after.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and balancing his hectic life and new tanner responsibilities is difficult
