History: Born in the west to a Interpreter, Ekk learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and balancing her hectic life and new interpreter responsibilities is difficult

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble.
