History: Adam was raised in a hard working conservative environment. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. A gifted student she started as a Interpreter, but she got bored and became a Cartwright. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Interpreter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
