History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: Murook hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Half-Elven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Half-Elven people.

Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Tordek has worked very hard to control his curse. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
