History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gardain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.

Personality: Cloak wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Sorcerer, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Cloak was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Tabaxis.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her childhood dream was to be a Sculptor, but she was a colossal failure. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
