History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Volen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She became a Sellsword soon after.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. After coming to the age of reason, Emen took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Emen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Ernest lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

History: He got into the Sailor business at a young age. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.
