He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Astar is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Bricklayer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bricklayer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by giants. Oriel was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Her first spouse was a Layabout, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born in the south. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He tends to his Ploughman job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world
