History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Tiefling conditions. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Malquis embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Malquis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
